Daniel Julian Martinez
November 10, 1955 – September 11, 2026
Daniel Julian Martinez passed away on September 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on November 10, 1955, Daniel lived a life marked by faith, generosity, humor, and an unwavering love for his family.
Daniel was the beloved son of Mercedez Martinez and the late Joseph Martinez.
Above all, Daniel was deeply devoted to his wife, Velma Martinez. He adored her more than anything and carried that love throughout their life together. His devotion to his wife and family was at the very heart of the man he was.
Daniel was a loving father to seven children: Dominic, Julian, the late Nicholas Martinez, Crystal and her husband Mark, Trisha, Jeremy and his wife Stephanie, and Felipe.
He was also a proud and loving grandfather to Anthony Gallegos; Adriana, Jaden, and Aliciana Mascarenas; Valerie and David Medina; Mercedez, Gabriella, Jozlyn, Alex, Jeremy, Daniel, and Isabel Martinez; Trinity, Amanda, and Nichole Marez; and Avelia Herrera.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Martinez; his son, Nicholas Martinez; his brothers, Clyde, Dwayne, and Raymond Martinez; his uncle, Baldino; his aunt, Pat; and his grandchildren, Anjelita and Daniel Martinez.
Daniel loved fishing, joking around, and, most of all, spending time with the people he loved. He was known for his kind heart and extraordinary selflessness. Daniel was the kind of man who would give and give until he had nothing left to give. His generosity was not something he simply talked about. It was how he lived.
His Catholic faith was deeply important to him and to his family. Daniel could often be found at daily Mass, quietly living the faith that guided his life. His relationship with Jesus Christ and his devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary through the Holy Rosary were treasures he wanted to pass on to those he loved.
If Daniel could leave one message with his family and everyone who knew him, it would be this:
Build a relationship with Jesus Christ, and pray the Rosary every day.
Daniel leaves behind far more than memories. He leaves the example of a husband who deeply loved his wife, a father and grandfather who loved his family, a man who gave freely of himself, and a Catholic who placed his trust in Christ.
He will be deeply missed, but his family takes comfort in the faith by which Daniel lived and in Christ’s promise of eternal life.
